Polio symptoms usually appear 7 to 14 days(1 to 2 weeks),
after a person gets virus.

the virus begins to breed inside of cells that the back of throat,
nose and intestines.

- fever, headache, malaise, vomit, diarrhea, fatigue
- stiffness in the neck, and pain in the limbs
- Flaccid paralysis occurs in the legs or arms (small population of case)
Types of Polio
- Spinal Polio - attacks motor neurons in the spinal cord and causes paralysis the arms,
- Bulbar Polio - affects neurons responsible for sight, vision, taste, swallowing, and breathing
- Bulbospinal Polio - both spinal and bulbar polio
